Looking to redouble its business development efforts, Tribal today named Kyle Snarr head of client development and marketing in the U.S.
Snarr will be based in New York and focus on adding new clients as office and account leaders aim to grow existing marketer relationships, as they have in the past, said Richard Guest, Tribal's U.S. president. There's plenty of project work out there and "we want a bigger piece of this," Guest added.
The position is new.
Previously, Snarr was director of new business at Struck, an independent digital shop with offices in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and Portland, Ore. He spent 11 years there, starting as executive producer of interactive before shifting to business development in 2006. In fact, he was executive producer on one of Tribal's most celebrated efforts ever: "Shave Everywhere" for Philips.
Guest, who introduced Snarr to New York staffers today, described him as resourceful, ingenious and down-to-earth—good qualities for someone who's responsible for developing relationships with marketers, search consultants and colleagues.
Tribal is the digital unit of Omnicom Group's DDB. Its top accounts include McDonald's, ExxonMobil, H&R Block and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare.
